Description

The second annual Crawfish Crawl is happening April 13 in Downtown Brandon! We're excited to bring new elements to this event as it grows! You do not register for the 5K on this platform. On this platform, you register and pay for:

A 5K will happen from 9am - 11am through the flat and hilly parts of Downtown Brandon, followed by a community crawfish boil with early entry to Mudbugs042 at 11am and a Cornhole Tournament 11am - 2pm at B3, all while pedestrians enjoy an art crawl around downtown from 10am - 2pm with local area artists. Brandon native Cliff Speaks will have art for sale while also be live painting the scene of the day in Downtown! You can purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win the finished original painting by Cliff Speaks! The Patrick Harkins Band will keep sounds of the blues, jazz, and covers of contemporary songs flowing! The Cleaners and Genna Benna's will both feature crawfish entree's on their menu this day! 

Time

  • 8AM: Race Check-in begins
  • 9AM: 5K begins
  • 10AM: Art Crawl begins
  • 10AM: Cornhole Tournament registration/check-in at B3 patio
  • 10:45AM: Race awards given outside Mudbugs042
  • 11AM: Crawfish Boil, Cornhole Tournament, and live music all begin
  • 2PM: Cornhole Tournament Prizes | Event ends

Downtown Brandon

Crawfish Crawl 2024 Details:

The 5K start and finish line will be at the intersection of Dining Street and Mary Ann Drive, just outside of Mudbugs042. The route will go through commercial and residential areas of Downtown Brandon. Awards will be given around 10:45am. 

The Cornhole Tournament will begin at 11am. Check-In for two person teams will begin at 10am at Burgers Blues Barbecue in Downtown Brandon. Team pre-registration is not required, but highly encouraged. After team check-in, you will be text your start time and court number. Central Mississippi Cornhole will facilitate the tournament. Prizes will be given for the top three teams in the social category and in the competition category. 

Community Crawfish Boil at Mudbugs042 with a local musician line up for two hours begins at 11am! Seasonal crawfish entrees will also be available at The Cleaners and Genna Benna's! Baseball games will be on the screens at each location!

An Art Crawl featuring artists from the metro area will be happening in the Mudbugs042 parking lot from 10am - 2pm! 

Pricing

$25: Crawfish Crawl 5K through Downtown Brandon; suitable for runners and walkers; includes t-shirt + 2 beers at Mudbugs042 following the race with your race bib; $30 registration day-of the event and t-shirt and beer not guaranteed.

$25: Adult ticket for Mudbugs042 early entry, baseball on TV, live music + 2lbs of crawfish and fixings + 2 Southern Beverage pre-selected beers

$12: Child ticket for Mudbugs042 early entry, baseball on TV, live music + 1lb of crawfish and fixings + 2 non-alcoholic beverages

$10: Live Painting Raffle Ticket; live painting of scene of the event by Brandon, Mississippi native Cliff Speaks to be raffled off at the end of the event; will be announced at the Patrick Harkins Band stage and on social media

$30: Cornhole Tournament at Burgers, Blues, Barbecue patio for 2 person teams; Regulated by Central Mississippi Cornhole; no outside food or beverage allowed; two categories: social and professional; prizes for top three teams in each category
